Factory Accountant
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and track cost structures for raw materials, labor, and overheads daily.
- Monitor and control stock levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Assist in creating budgets and forecasts using financial data.
- Track budget performance and analyze variances.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Provide financial analysis to management using data from system, advising on cost-saving strategies and operational improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Factory Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing or coir industry.
- Proficiency in SAP system.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
