Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation and timely submission of turnover taxes, including VAT, SAVAT, and SSCL, along with related schedules and tax returns, ensuring full compliance with the Inland Revenue Act.
- Preparation and submission of income tax returns for individuals and companies, in accordance with the Inland Revenue Act.
- Management of other tax obligations, including Withholding Tax (WHT) and Payee Tax, ensuring compliance with the Inland Revenue Act.
- Reconciliation of tax payments with the corresponding ledger accounts.
- Demonstration of strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Ability to negotiate and settle prevailing tax assessments at minimal cost.
- Preparation and management of accurate and compliant financial statements.
- Analysis of account data and compilation of comprehensive financial reports.
REQUIREMENTS
- Professional qualification in the field of taxation.
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance; or qualified/part-qualified in CA, CIMA, ACCA, or CPA.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity.
