FINANCE PROJECT COORDINATOR

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.

The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Finance Project Coordinator. The position involves overseeing and coordinating finance-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. It includes conducting financial analysis and reporting to support project decisions and strategies, while collaborating closely with various departments, including legal, to ensure alignment and compliance and coordinating with suppliers on financial terms. Effective communication is key, as the role requires maintaining clear and regular updates with stakeholders on project progress.

The selected candidates will be responsible for:

  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables for finance-related initiatives.
  • Coordinate with finance teams and other departments to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Assist the discussion with the suppliers on the financial terms.
  • Track progress and report updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Support budget preparation and financial forecasting for projects.
  • Monitor project expenses, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.
  • Identify cost variances and escalate concerns to management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, contracts, and documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between finance & Legal.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action points.
  • Generate financial and operational reports to track project success.
  • Support post-project evaluations to assess financial and operational impact.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • 3-5 years of Finance experience and 2-3 years in Project Management.
  • Fully or partially qualified in CIMA, CA, or ACCA.
  • Experience in legal work will be an added advantage along with good communication skills.
  • Broad understanding of the financial behavior of a manufacturing company.
  • Knowledge in Financial Accounting, Management & Planning and Taxation.
  • Decision Taking & Problem-Solving Skills, Communication skills, Business Acumen, Analytical skills, Initiative and follow through, Interpersonal skills.

Remuneration for the above position will be in accordance with the JKH Compensation and Benefits Policy.
