Executive – Business Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer relationships and oversee assigned construction projects within the designated territory.
  • Conduct on-site inspections of heavy machinery to assess condition and performance, provide technical advice to customers, and analyse operational patterns to recommend maintenance solutions and optimise equipment efficiency.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and emerging needs in the construction equipment industry.
  • Recommend appropriate machinery for specific applications after analysing technical specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers in key areas.
  • Manage paperwork, contracts, proposals, and other documentation related to sales.
  • Submit call plans and call reports on time, ensuring they include detailed information.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery through processes such as assembling, pre-delivery inspection (PDI), and related procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from departments such as Sales, Service, and Finance.
  • Ensure timely submission of sales quotations through the system and maintain a quotation database with probability ratings.
  • Achieve a high quote-to-sale conversion rate and meet individual sales targets.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Coordinate the resolution of customer complaints and manage feedback.
  • Adhere to company rules, ethics, and standards.

Personal Profile & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Should be able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
  • Strong team player.
