Power BI Developer
We are looking for passionate candidates to join the Sri Lankan operations of an Australian-based cutting-edge Technology Company serving both government and private organizations in Australia and New Zealand.
This is a full-time employment with the possibility to extend based on your performance. We offer attractive packages and flexibility of working from home (maintaining social distancing to stay safe and healthy as well as saving commuting time and cost).
Who are we looking for?
Self-motivated, energetic, creative individuals who has the ability to design, create and maintain business reports for customers to allow them to exploit the rich data captured by the company Enterprise software. In addition, assist with building internal management reports for Company teams.
Skill Requirements:
- Expertise in BI tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Expertise in reporting tools such as Crystal Reports and SSRS.
- Understanding data storage and retrieval and designing and implementing data warehouses.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases.
- Knowledge of data extract methods for Jira Cloud is desirable.
- Knowledge of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes for data integration.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as DAX, M, Python, or R for advanced data modeling, transformation, and analysis.
- Ability to critically assess data and provide objective, data-driven recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Creating clear and compelling visualizations to communicate business results and trends.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and collaborate with different departments.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Work with the BI Consultant and Company staff to clarify requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions for customers and the Company, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reports.
- Create detailed documentation for report specifications and maintenance procedures.
- Own the Company data warehouse, overseeing its evolution and maintenance.
- Become a subject-matter expert on the Company master database.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in BI and data analytics.
Mandatory Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions using data from a comprehensive ERP.
