ASSISTANT MANAGER CUTTING & MOLDING
Join Our Team! We're Hiring an ASSISTANT MANAGER – CUTTING & MOLDING (Dambulla Factory) Are you a dynamic individual passionate about garment manufacturing? We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude to join our Dambulla Factory as Assistant Manager – Cutting & Molding.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY
Molding Operations
- Achieve daily mold plans in line with production targets.
- Prepare and review new molded styles one week prior to PP meetings.
- Develop plastic hut patterns and ensure materials are ready in advance.
- Drive operator efficiency to maintain over 95%.
- Maintain quality standards based on approved mold hangers.
- Coordinate manpower and material needs effectively.
- Ensure accuracy in size, colour, and ratios per Quality Assurance standards.
- Implement and sustain Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cutting Operations
- Meet daily layering and cutting targets for production input.
- Prepare cutting requirements 1–2 days before PP meetings.
- Monitor and maintain cutting efficiency over 95%.
- Manage lay plans, fabric readiness, and material flows.
- Ensure 2–3 days of cut goods are ready for production.
- Monitor quality and adherence to cutting standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the department.
- Achieve KPIs including maintaining absenteeism, turnover below 3% and 100% order fulfilment.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A go-getter with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Prior experience in garment manufacturing, especially cutting and molding.
- Strong focus on quality control, efficiency, and process improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Fully focusing on all Lean, Continuous Improvement & 6S processes in cutting & molding section.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in the specific field with at least 03 years experience as Assistant Manager.
- Lingerie experience is a must (Bra and knicker).
- Communication skills in English.
- Computer literacy.
- Willingness for continual change & improvement.
