Overview of the role

The Senior Manager - Business Operation is responsible for overseeing all operational functions related to sales management at the head office. This role involves leading the Yamaha sales planning and administration staff to ensure efficient and effective sales operations.

What you will do

  • Drive the achievement of sales targets while maximizing profitability.
  • Organize and conduct promotional activities to boost sales.
  • Manage and update sales reports, stock acquisition reports, and inquiry follow-up reports.
  • Handle inventory management and debt collection for respective sales.
  • Discuss competitor data with the regional manager or strategic management team to facilitate strategic planning.
  • Ensure the showroom and stock are tidy and create a welcoming customer atmosphere.
  • Oversee all operational functions in the office for sales management.
  • Lead the Yamaha sales planning and administration staff at the head office.
  • Oversee the SAP functions for motorcycle customer creation to delivery.
  • Oversee the vehicle registration process to deliver a superior customer experience.
  • Create and maintain a healthy dealer network by delivering an excellent customer experience.

What equips you for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree/ National Diploma in Sales/Marketing Management or a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry, with experience in motorcycle sales/aftersales.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to speak Tamil is an added advantage.

Required skills to be successful

  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and performance metrics to make informed decisions and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in using various software tools for data analysis, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales management software is a plus.
  • Strong ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders, including management, dealers, and sales teams.
  • Capability to conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, understand competitor activities, and develop strategies to enhance market share.
