MECHANICAL ENGINEER - PROJECTS (Kelaniya)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CAD drawings for mechanical layouts, piping, and steel structure installations.
- Assist in creating and updating Gantt charts with MS Project.
- Monitor daily work progress on-site and ensure that manpower allocation aligns with plans.
- Support machinery relocation planning, dismantling details, and pathway clearance.
- Verify template placements and civil foundation readiness.
- Liaise with vendors and consultants for drawing approvals.
- Ensure mechanical and plumbing systems integrate with electrical and civil works.
Requirements
Education:
- NDT specialized in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project.
Experience:
- 5–7 years in mechanical project execution (preferably in manufacturing or industrial construction).
- Proven experience in using AutoCAD and MS Project.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery installation and pipeline systems.
Skills:
- Knowledge of plumbing codes, mechanical standards, and steel structures.
- Working knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage.
Other:
- Confident communication with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Should be below 35 years.
