Accounts Executive

Established in 1997, SLAQAP promotes quality and productivity across industries. It conducts training programs, workshops, and seminars on 5S, Kaizen, QCCs, and Lean. SLAQAP organizes the NCQP, represents Sri Lanka at ICQCC, and hosts research conferences, fostering innovation and continuous improvement nationwide.

We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated and result-oriented individual for the position of accounts executive, who can make a valuable contribution to the continued success of SLAQAP.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Age 30 and above.
  • Graduate with an accounting degree or financial management from a recognized university or institution or AAT passed finalist/member or part qualified with CA, CIMA, CMA, or any other professional institutions and, or Possess a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy.
  • Minimum two years of experience in handling similar job role.
  • Computer literacy and ability to use accounting software/ ERP independently.
  • Fluency in English Language.
  • The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Build strong relationship with the SLAQAP council and other similar organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all financial transactions follow the accepted policies and procedures of the association.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts to the SLAQAP Treasurer for council meetings.
  • Assist the Treasurer in preparing budget estimates for the financial year and monitor budget and actuals monthly.
  • Facilitate all payments made to different businesses / people by the SLAQAP.
  • Ensure all payment dues to the SLAQAP are closely followed up and collected and records maintained.
  • Work closely with the guidance of the Treasurer and other main office bearers.
  • Active participation in special events/annual events and revenue generation activities, seminars and workshops, etc.
  • Any other responsibilities relating to the financial operation of the association.
