Job Position - Claims Engineer
Location - Mahameegasswewa, Habarana
Responsibilities:
- Contract Management:
- Analyze construction contracts to identify risks, opportunities, and negotiation points.
- Draft clear and concise contractual documents, including subcontracts, purchase orders, and formal correspondence.
- Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project milestones.
- Prepare contract variations/change orders and support cost impact and risk evaluations.
- Dispute Resolution & Claims Management:
- Manage and resolve contractual disputes and claims efficiently to reduce financial and schedule risks.
- Prepare and negotiate claims, including EOT, disruption, and additional payment claims.
- Financial Management & Reporting:
- Prepare and manage interim payment applications for main and subcontractors.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and material cost estimations.
- Produce financial progress reports, claim documentation, and maintain detailed change logs.
- Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, contract terms, and applicable Saudi Arabian regulations and laws.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract/commercial management, with 7+ years in a main contractor environment.
- Strong expertise in FIDIC documents.
- Excellent knowledge of construction cost control, quantification, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to work on complex construction projects in a high-pressure environment.
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in QS Engineering or Civil Engineering.
- Professional certifications in Contracts Management, Construction Law, or similar fields are highly desirable.
