PRODUCT MANAGER - AUTOMOTIVE PAINT & ADJACENCIES
We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Product Manager well versed with the automotive aftermarket. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the development, and lifecycle management of our automotive paint products and ancillaries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Development - Lead the development of new automotive paint products, from ideation to launch including Pricing, Profitability, Placement and Publicity and collaborate with R&D, production to ensure products meet quality standards and market requirements.
- Market Analysis - Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscapes in the automotive paint industry and to inform product enhancements and improvements.
- Competitive Positioning - Define and implement effective strategies for positioning our automotive paint products in the market and monitor industry trends.
- Sales Support - Provide support to the sales team through product training, collateral development, and sales tools.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Marketing and/or fully qualified in CIM or equivalent and MBA an added advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive aftermarkets or sales within the paint, coatings or construction materials industry.
- Strong understanding of paint technology, industry trends and application processes.
- Strategic mind set, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management abilities, with a track record of successfully launching and managing products.
