Product Developer
Location: Corporate Office - Wattala
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for pursuing a career in the apparel industry. The ideal candidate should be an energetic, team player with excellent communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to be self-motivated and work independently to achieve tight deadlines.
Job Role
- Develop innovative fabric solutions to meet design and functional requirements by conducting research on new fabric types and technologies.
- Collaborate with design team to select appropriate fabrics based on quality, cost and performance criteria.
- Create and maintain detailed technical specifications for fabrics, including composition, weight, and performance properties with ensuring customer requirements.
- Implement testing procedures collaborate with QA team to evaluate fabric quality and durability.
- Analyze market trends and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fabric technology.
- Implement and promote sustainable fabric options and implement practices to reduce environmental impact.
Individual Profile
- Diploma or professional qualification in Textile Engineering / Apparel Technology.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity, with a strong background in woven garments/fabrics.
- Age below 40 years.
- Sound knowledge in fabric testing methods and quality standards.
- Understanding of sustainability practices in textiles.
- Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to get things done and work in a team-based environment.
