Overview of the role

The Regional Recovery Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the collection and recovery of overdue accounts within an assigned geographical region. This includes ensuring the recovery of non-performing loans (NPLs) and leading a team of recovery officers to meet targets in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role is critical in minimizing financial risk, and maintaining healthy cash flows.

This position demands strong leadership, field management skills, and a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for collections and repossessions in the financial services industry.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement region-specific strategies for the recovery of overdue leasing and finance accounts.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly and quarterly recovery targets across branches in the region.
  • Monitor field activity, visit customers as required, and review recovery performance regularly.
  • Maintain professionalism while handling customers.
  • Ensure all recovery activities comply with Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) directives, company policies, and ethical practices.
  • Analyze reports to enhance collection efficiency, and recovery costs to support strategic decision-making.

What equips you for the role

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Law.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Recovery field.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of non-performing loan (NPL) management, credit risk assessment, and collections workflows.
  • Proficient in MS office package.
