Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Warehouse to support our logistics and operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in warehouse management systems, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals and optimize supply chain performance.

Your role will involve:

  • Supervise, organize, direct, and train store staff to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
  • Set and manage operational goals while monitoring performance to align with company objectives.
  • Plan and oversee daily store activities including inventory control, space management, logistics, and customer service.
  • Determine best practices for product handling, storage, equipment use, inventory, gate processes, and shipments.
  • Oversee layout management, inspections, and repair or replacement requests to maintain store functionality.
  • Train and guide staff to effectively resolve daily operational challenges and meet both short- and long-term goals.
  • Schedule and manage the retail team to meet productivity targets while optimizing workflow and reducing overtime.
  • Ensure workplace safety and health standards are met in compliance with regulations.
  • Control and reconcile inventory through regular physical counts and system updates.
  • Prepare and manage the annual store budget, track spending, and analyze variances to meet financial goals.

You should have:

  • Three to five years’ experience managing at least 10 employees in a supervisory or comparable capacity.
  • Proficient in warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff.
  • Comfortable offering frequent direct written and spoken feedback.
