Assistant Manager - Production
Kelani Valley Canneries Ltd., (KVC), a manufacturer and exporter of processed tropical fruits and vegetables, was established in 1968 and is a member of C. W. Mackie PLC Group.
We are in the process of rebuilding our team and on the lookout for a suitable best candidate to lead our team, as Assistant Manager Production for Hanwella Factory.
JOB PROFILE:
- Plan, organize and direct all factory resources to achieve production targets
- Ensure output meets the quality standards set by the company
- Reduce resource wastage in the factory whilst ensuring maximum productivity
- Develop, manage and mentor factory staff and workers
- Monitor the production process and trigger corrective actions when required
- Effective communications with other departments and sound interpersonal skills
- Compliance with regulatory requirements and factory safety needs
- Introduce and implement factory management related KPIs
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Degree in Production management/Science/Agriculture/Food science.
- 5-6 years' Experience in handling production in a Food factory in a similar capacity.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP & SLS standards.
- High degree of commitment to all aspects of production and management.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP system would be an added advantage.
