Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and finalize agreements, contracts, and MOUs with internal teams.
  • Represent the company in court and assist with legal matters.
  • Draft and finalize every court document, such as Lod, plaints, objections and written submission with guidance from Counsel or attorneys.
  • Support and initiate company secretarial tasks, including documentation.
  • Handle filings and renewals for trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
  • Maintain legal files, coordinate court matters, and liaise with external company secretaries.
  • Preparing various reports and record updates.

Qualifications:

  • Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public (with a license to practice in English law in Colombo).
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in court appearances and litigation support.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal principles and procedures, with the ability to clearly communicate complex legal issues.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala or Tamil.

Legal Assistant/Messenger

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to travel as needed to support the day-to-day operations of the legal department.
  • Proficient in photocopying and scanning a large volume of documents.
  • Strong communication skills in Sinhala and English.
  • Basic proficiency in using office software and computer systems.
  • Well-organized, with the ability to manage tasks and documents efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Sinhala and English.
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations and office software.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and documents efficiently.
  • Ability to handle legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Dependable, professional demeanor, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
