AUSTRALIAN HIGH COMMISSION – COLOMBO

Under limited direction, the Senior Program Officer will have responsibility for the Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Humanitarian portfolios including program management, advice and stakeholder management. The Senior Program Officer will provide advice on GEDSI and climate change elements of other development programs in the portfolio and be a focal point for internal and external GEDSI issues on behalf of the Australian High Commission. The role will also include management of humanitarian and disaster risk reduction partnerships in Sri Lanka, representing Australia in various thematic multilateral and donor working groups and advising Post’s Senior Management on emerging humanitarian issues as they arise.
