What you need to do
- Focus on maximizing the time Bodyshop Technicians spend actively working on billable accident repair and paint jobs. A high utilization rate and efficient scheduling with minimal non-productive time directly impact revenue generation within the Bodyshop.
- Measure the average cycle time taken to complete a Bodyshop repair from initial assessment to final quality check. Minimizing this time is crucial for customer satisfaction and increasing Bodyshop capacity.
- Measure the percentage of accurate initial damage assessments and repair plans to minimize unnecessary work, part replacements, and insurance claim adjustments, reflecting the team’s diagnostic proficiency in collision damage.
- Track the completion rate of assigned technical training programs and certifications relevant to bodyshop repair, painting techniques, material usage, and BYD-specific body repair procedures to ensure the team remains updated on the latest technologies and repair standards.
- Develop working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, and ensure service department adheres to all regulations.
- Renew workshop environmental, trade licenses within the required timelines.
What you need
- Degree or diploma or equivalent in Automotive Technology, Vehicle Body Repair and Painting.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience supervising a Bodyshop or accident repair workshop, preferably within an automotive dealership.
- Demonstrated experience and track record of customer services.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques, paint systems, damage assessment, repair estimation, and warranty procedures specific to accident repairs.
- Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
