Senior Retail Merchandiser
Location - Corporate Office (Wattala)
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for pursuing a career in the apparel industry. The ideal candidate should be an energetic team player with excellent communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to be self-motivated and work independently to achieve tight deadlines.
Job Role
- Manage end-to-end merchandising processes for Business-to-Consumer.
- Partner with buyers to plan product ranges, forecast stock needs, and place products smartly across digital platforms for maximum visibility.
- Create eye-catching product listings and storefront designs that align with seasonal trends and customer preferences to drive clicks and conversions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure smooth, on-time deliveries and consistent product quality.
- Keep online inventory accurate and balanced - avoiding stock outs or overstocking.
- Set competitive pricing, manage promotions, and lead e-commerce marketing efforts to hit and exceed sales targets.
- Recommend products, enhance site navigation, and deliver a seamless shopping experience across all platforms.
- Monitor sales, market trends, and competitors to refine product listings, marketing campaigns, and inventory strategies.
- Quickly resolve supply chain or listing issues to protect brand reputation and ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with brand partners to assess product requirements and execute development strategies aligned with market trends.
- Handle and respond to customer feedback to drive continuous product and service improvement.
Individual Profile
- Diploma or degree in Merchandising/ Sales/ Marketing.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms such as eBay, Shopify, and Amazon.
- Experience in apparel retail merchandising and digital marketing would be a definite advantage.
- Age below 45 years.
- A keen eye for detail in product layout and visual merchandising.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- A solid grasp of stock control and inventory management processes.
- Proactive problem-solving and effective communication skills.
