Assistant Manager

Soul & Surf Sri Lanka is looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our retreat. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, hospitality-trained, and passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences. You should be a proactive team player with excellent leadership skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on approach to management.
Responsibilities
- Daily Operations Support – Assist in overseeing operations across all departments, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Guest Relations – Act as a key point of contact for retreat guests, handling check-ins, check-outs, and any queries to ensure a seamless stay.
- Maintenance Control – Oversee maintenance schedules, liaise with suppliers, and ensure the property is well maintained.
- Administration, Finance & Legal – Support administrative tasks, assist with financial tracking, budgeting, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Finance Support – Assist with bookkeeping, expense tracking, and ensuring financial procedures are followed.
- Stock & Cost Control – Help monitor budgets, stock levels, and operational costs to meet financial targets.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Essentials For The Role
- At least 26 years of age.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Diploma / degree in hospitality management.
- 2 Years Experience in Restaurant Hospitality Management.
- Management, Administration & Organisational expertise.
- Computer literacy, finance, book-keeping and knowledge of POS systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, hosting & presentation skills.
- Based near to Ahangama.
