Head of Montessori School
Asian International School is seeking an energetic, visionary, growth-minded leader to serve as Head of the Montessori School in Battaramulla starting next academic year (2025/2026). The AIS Montessori School is located in a beautifully laid out, purpose-built facility which offers young ones the space to grow in body, mind, and spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead the school in maintaining a high standard of Montessori education, ensuring the philosophy is consistently applied across all aspects of the school environment.
- Staff Management: Supervise, mentor, and support the teaching staff, promoting professional development and a strong, collaborative team spirit.
- School Culture: Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive school culture where students, staff, and parents feel respected and valued.
- Parental Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, encouraging their involvement in the school and keeping them informed about their children’s progress and school’s activities.
- Daily Operations of the school: Oversee the daily operations of the school and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to meet educational and operational goals.
- Strategic Planning: Long-term planning and policy development to ensure the continued success and growth of the school.
Qualifications:
- Be a Diploma Holder in Montessori / Primary Education. A degree in pre-school education will be an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Pre-school setting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or administrative role.
- Proven experience leading, managing, and mentoring a team of educators.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with school operations, budgeting, and strategic planning of school activities.
