Manager - HR & Administration

We seek outstanding and energetic professionals with a high level of dedication and competence to take on key responsibilities at our factory located at Millewa Horana.

DPJ Barcode and Label Printers Pvt Ltd is a key operation under the DPJ Holdings Group, Sri Lanka’s premier name in self-adhesive label, variable data and packaging manufacturing. We are recognized for our high standards in quality, compliance, and innovation. As we expand our capabilities, we seek a detail-driven Manager - HR & Administration who can build and enforce systems that support operational excellence across all areas of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Management:

  • Lead full-spectrum HR operations: recruitment, onboarding, payroll, disciplinary action, performance evaluation, and staff development.
  • Foster a compliant and transparent employee environment in line with Sri Lankan labour laws.
  • Promote a strong, value-based organizational culture through training, team-building, and feedback systems.

Administrative Operations:

  • Implement and oversee KPI, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and enforce 5S methodology for workplace cleanliness, efficiency, and order.
  • Champion continuous improvement and process discipline across departments.
  • Manage and ensure adherence to quality standards such as ISO 9001, Sedex (SMETA), and other customer-specific compliance protocols.
  • Supervise waste disposal mechanisms ensuring environmentally responsible and regulation-compliant practices.
  • Oversee security operations, access control, visitor management, and CCTV systems.
  • Manage, monitor, and safeguard fixed assets, ensuring proper utilization, maintenance, and loss prevention.
  • Ensure all licenses, inspections, safety protocols, and records are up to date and audit-ready.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HRM, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field (Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR & administration within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven expertise in implementing 5S, SOPs, and maintaining ISO and Sedex audit compliance.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, labour law, safety procedures, and ethical compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams and vendors for administration, housekeeping, security, and asset services.
  • Proficient in HR software (e.g., HRIS), MS Office, and document management.
  • Close proximity to Horana/ Millewa/ Padukka will be preferred.
