Manager - IT & Automation

Your Role:
As the IT and Automation Manager, you will handle the strategic development and implementation of IT systems, automation processes, and AI-driven solutions. You will play a pivotal role in integrating software systems, optimizing workflows, and ensuring robust, scalable infrastructure to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead automation and digitalization projects across manufacturing and other units.
- Integrate ERP, production, financial, and business systems using APIs and middleware.
- Design and deploy custom tools and dashboards for operational efficiency and real-time monitoring.
- Implement AI-based solutions for predictive analytics, decision support, and performance optimization.
- Oversee development of automation workflows using Python, Node.js, or low-code platforms.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IT systems across business units.
- Collaborate with senior management to align technology initiatives with strategic priorities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in IT, software automation, or enterprise systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with working knowledge of Node.js or JavaScript for backend automation.
- Solid grasp of SQL and Power BI/Tableau for data integration and visualization.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools (e.g., OpenAI API, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow) is highly valued.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) and API integrations.
- Exposure to low-code platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, Retool) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, process thinking, and project management capabilities.
- Close proximity to Horana/ Millewa/ Padukka will be preferred.
