Sports Center Assistant

As a member of the Front Office Department, he/she shall be responsible for overseeing Recreation Center operations, ensuring personalized guest service, cleanliness, safety, and efficient resource use, enhancing the overall Velassaru experience.

Requirements / Qualification

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospitality or front office-related role.
  • Experience in guest-facing roles with a strong service-oriented mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of hotel systems (Opera/Fidelio preferred) and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Physically fit and willing to engage in active tasks related to sports and recreational activities.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall operation, hygiene, cleanliness, and safety of equipment and furniture within the Recreation Center, in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and personalized service to all guests utilizing the Recreation Center.
  • Coordinate daily with Housekeeping for cleaning and preparation of Day Use and Shower Rooms.
  • Manage tennis court bookings and assist guests with tennis equipment.
  • Report any repair or maintenance needs of furniture and equipment to supervisors.
  • Attend departmental and resort-wide training to enhance guest service and comply with health and safety standards.
  • Promote a culture of cooperation and teamwork by assisting colleagues with their duties.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel grooming and appearance standards at all times.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by Front Office.
