Senior Executive - Imports
Requirement:
- Proven experience in handling sea and air import operations.
- In-depth knowledge of import regulations, documentation, and clearance processes.
- Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and relevant logistics platforms.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A strong customer-service mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end import operations including shipment tracking, documentation, and clearance.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth import handling.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements related to imports.
- Liaise with suppliers and overseas agents to follow up on shipments and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/finance systems and support reporting requirements.
- Monitor and analyze import trends and costs to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide timely updates on shipment status.
