APPAREL INDUSTRY VACANCIES
“YASH” is BOI approved, 100% foreign investment, located at the Biyagama EPZ. The company produces a range of high quality fashion accessories for the discerning markets in USA, Europe and Australia. They have several vacancies for experienced staff to be employed in the following positions. Candidates should be energetic, pro-active team players inspired to achieve greater heights, both for him/her and the organization.
1. Cutting Executive
- Ensure the entire cutting process meets the monthly production planning with right quality and quantity
- Managing and supervising entire cutting department.
- Should have experience in all types of fabrics and cutting techniques.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in cutting department.
- Additional knowledge/skills in pattern making
2. Fabric Cutter
- Should have full skill experience in straight knife cutter/band knife cutter and die-cut machines.
- Should have experience in all types of fabrics and cutting techniques.
- Apply professional skill, knowledge, core skills & employability skills while performing jobs and solve problem during execution
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in cutting department.
3. Production Executive
- Plan production schedules, implement and control.
- Review and make decisions about capacity utilization, material & machineries.
- Maintain and rationalized the employee carder according to the production schedules.
- Make sure effective and efficient line balancing with proper studies.
- Use appropriate tools to minimize the wastage and improve the productivity level of the production process.
- Responsible for up skilling and maintain a skilled workforce to meet the standards.
- Maintain a healthy relationship with all level of employees.
- Work with all the operations teams to achieve the set KPI's.
- Degree/Diploma related to production/manufacturing or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar capacity.
- Age below 45 years.
- Preference will be given to candidates who has lean manufacturing exposure especially problem solving tools.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills & work in a team based environment.
Whilst those living in Biyagama, Kaduwela, Kiribathgoda, Pugoda or Kadawatha areas will be preferred those living in other areas are also encouraged to apply.
