Job Description
As a Service Technician (F&B Equipment) at Barque Investments, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high-quality food and beverage equipment, ensuring our clients receive seamless service with minimal downtime. This role is critical for upholding our reputation for reliable technical support and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on F&B equipment, including:
- Coffee machines
- Coffee grinders
- Coffee roasting machines
- Commercial kitchen and bakery equipment
- Chillers and freezers
- Conduct on-site diagnostics to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Install, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer standards.
- Maintain service records, log maintenance activities, and document equipment performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients for proper equipment usage and care.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all service activities.
- Travel to client sites for servicing and emergency repairs as required.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or formal vocational training in Electromechanical Studies or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in servicing F&B equipment or similar machinery.
- Skills:
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new equipment models and technologies.
- Flexibility to travel for site visits and handle emergency repairs as required.
Remuneration
- Basic Salary: USD 500.00 to 700.00 (paid equivalent in Maldivian Rufiyaa)
- Monthly Food Allowance: USD 100.00 (paid equivalent in Maldivian Rufiyaa)
- Accommodation: Comfortable shared accommodation provided.
- Working Hours: Standard working hours of 8 hours per day, 6 days a week.
- Additional benefits include overtime compensation in accordance with the Maldives Employment Act.
- The position is offered on a 2-year contract basis, with 30 days of paid leave.
