The Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka (FPA Sri Lanka), the pioneer in Family Planning and Reproductive Health Education, is an accredited member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) in the United Kingdom.

Programme Coordinator – SPRINT Project

The Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka is the implementing partner of the project SPRINT (Sexual and Reproductive Health in Humanitarian Settings) which is a humanitarian project designed to support the implementation of the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for SRH during the times of emergencies.

FPA Sri Lanka is currently seeking for a committed, enthusiastic young individual for the position of Programme Coordinator to support the overall implementation of the SPRINT project activities. The Programme Coordinator will be based at the FPA Sri Lanka head office in Colombo, with travel to Service Delivery Points in Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly report to the Assistant Director of Outreach Department.
  • Overlooking the implementation of all project activities outlined in the SPRINT Annual Work Plan.
  • Managing the SPRINT project budget throughout the project period.
  • Activity planning and implementation in district and divisional level, collaborating with district level service delivery point staff.
  • Fulfil all quarterly and annual reporting requirements pertaining to the project throughout the project period.
  • Communicating with national and district level, governmental and non-governmental stakeholders and maintaining a working relationship with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.
  • Maintaining stocks and managing procurement related to the project.
  • Managing all the documentation related to the SPRINT project.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences is preferred.
  • Knowledge in Sexual and Reproductive Health is essential, knowledge in humanitarian and emergency response is an added advantage.
  • Experience: minimum 3 years of experience in the NGO and Development sector.
  • Proven field level experience and experience in community-level engagements.
  • Language competency: Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Sinhala language. Tamil language is an added advantage.
  • IT Competency: MS Office package.

Contract period

1 year (Renewable)
