The Ayati National Center for Children with Disabilities is located in Ragama. It is a center that provides unique and specialized services to children with various developmental disabilities through a multi-disciplinary team approach. Currently, Ayati serves more than 13,000 registered clients who receive services of this multi-disciplinary clinical operation extended to all physical and mental disabilities. Evidence-based management plans are provided by experienced and qualified clinicians at the Center.
The services at the center are provided free of charge to all Sri Lankan children at present. Professional services are primarily provided by the staff of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya and the Ministry of Health, while the Ayati Trust Sri Lanka funds the day-to-day operations of the Center.
