VACANCY
Jafferjee Brothers Exports (Private) Limited is one of Sri Lanka’s leading rubber products manufacturing companies. Due to our ongoing expansion, we seek dynamic candidates to fulfill the following position:
MECHANICAL ENGINEER/ ASSISTANT MECHANICAL ENGINEER
This position has the overall responsibility for the work performed by the Engineering Department & Assist Engineer to perform the department operations.
Qualifications & Experiences
- A Degree from a recognized University having followed a program preferably in Mechanical Engineering, NDT or Hold an equivalent professional qualification.
- Possess a minimum of 3-5 years of engineering experience.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM/CNC technologies.
- Be multi-skilled, with exposure to electrical, electronic/ mechatronics fields.
- Be an excellent team player.
- A dynamic and an energetic personality.
Age
Between 30 - 45 years
Duties and responsibilities includes:
Responsibility to continue the production operation with minimum interruption to the production process.
General & Preventive maintenance
- Ensure that all machineries are properly and efficiently maintained in order to achieve set production targets.
- Executing periodical preventive maintenance for all Machine and equipment (Rubber mills, Hydraulic presses, Injection Molding Machines, Autoclaves, Boilers, internal Mixer and Extruders etc.)
- Trouble Shooting and Repairs and maintenance.
- Practical knowledge and experience on hydraulic, pneumatic systems and automation.
- Identifying process improvements, potential failures and taking timely corrective actions.
- Workshop Management including 6S concept/lean & safety.
- Upgrading machinery and equipment in order to improve the quality and overall productivity of the factory.
- Ensuring the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is maintained as per the accepted Industrial Standards.
- Coordinate and monitor all aspects of Fabrication works including mold & die repairs.
- Guide, develop & coach workshop team members for continuous improvements and skill developments.
