Engineer/Assistant Engineer
You will be responsible for
- Responsible for all manufacturing processes of printed circuit board assemblies using both surface mount and thru-hole technologies.
- Be able to create work procedure instructions. Provide training to other staff within the department.
- Experience in SMT Mount programming ideally for Assemble on and Panasonic as well as good knowledge in reflow and wave solder profiling. Knowledge in Equipment maintenance is of advantage.
- Setting up systems to monitor report and analyze process issues, using SPC.
- Interfacing with other manufacturing and support groups to address and resolve manufacturing, quality and engineering issues.
- Addressing workflow, safety and quality requirements.
- Solving daily process related problems in the area of defect generation, workflow bottlenecks, as well as ongoing yield improvement.
- Recommending process improvements to enhance product flow and improve overall throughput.
- Diagnosing and fixing manufacturing process problems.
- Reducing scrap levels.
- Provide technical support to production team members and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Qualifications needed for the role
- BSc degree or diploma in electronic/electrical/Production engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in the relevant field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and equipment.
