JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking dynamic and results-driven Sales Executives to promote and sell our school book range. This field-based role involves direct interaction with schools, bookstores, teachers, and education officers to drive sales, build relationships, and expand market reach. The Sales Executive reports to the Regional Sales Manager and plays a key part in achieving the company’s sales objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- GCE O/L or A/L; a diploma or certificate in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in sales (preferably in education, publishing).
- Diploma or Certificate in Sales/Marketing/Business Management – from a recognized institute (SLIM, NIBM, or other vocational/business schools).
- Fresher’s with strong communication skills and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Field-based role with daily travel.
- Creative thinker and data-driven.
- Proven track record of project management and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Sinhala.
- Great leadership skills.
- Below 35 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships.
- Actively promote and sell school books to schools, bookshops, and education-related outlets.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Conduct regular visits to schools and book retailers in the assigned area.
- Identify new sales opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Assist in organizing promotional events, exhibitions, and school-based marketing campaigns.
- Maintaining the stock levels in sales outlets.
- Address customer inquiries and provide information about book titles, pricing, and availability.
- Ensure excellent post-sale customer service and support.
