OPERA TECHNICAL SUPPORT CONSULTANT
Hospitality Technology Pvt Ltd is the leading enterprise application solutions provider to the Hospitality industry in Sri Lanka. We specialize in providing IT solutions to restaurants, hotels, casinos and leisure establishments using Oracle Hospitality solutions.
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual with a strong background in PL/SQL development who is looking to pivot into a client-facing, problem-solving role as a Technical Support Consultant. This role bridges the gap between software engineering and customer success, providing a unique opportunity to apply your development skills in a new context, working closely with clients to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent technical issues in enterprise software systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expert-level technical support for clients, primarily focused on database-driven applications and services using PL/SQL and Oracle.
- Develop data models and queries (SQL/XML) to support reporting needs.
- Investigate and diagnose complex technical issues reported by users, identifying root causes and delivering effective solutions.
- Work experience on Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and Windows Server environments.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to system compatibility, data flows, APIs, and database interactions.
- Integrate 3rd party solutions that has a valid interface with Opera PMS.
- Participate in client meetings to understand technical requirements and provide post-deployment support.
- Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCES
- A bachelor degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 1 ~ 2+ years of experience in PL/SQL development or database-driven application programming.
- Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
