FASHION DESIGNER- APPAREL - (JK COLOMBO OFFICE)

We're on the lookout for a trend-savvy designer who thrives in teamwear and activewear, blending functionality with style to deliver high-performance collections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design innovative, functional, and trend-aligned collections for global and regional markets.
  • Create 3D visualizations and prototypes using CLO/Browzwear for better design development.
  • Develop mood boards, color palettes, and concept stories for each season.
  • Prepare and maintain the design studio to ensure an impressive and professional setup for customer visits and fit sessions.
  • Attend fit sessions and collaborate with pattern and technical teams to perfect the product.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, materials, and technologies in the sportswear industry.

Ideal candidate should possess

  • Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design from the University of Moratuwa or a recognized private fashion institute.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a leading apparel company or buying office, specializing in activewear, teamwear, or performance wear.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D design tools such as CLO and Browzwear.
  • Solid understanding of pattern making, garment construction, and technical design aspects.
  • Aware of fabric technologies, performance finishes, and sportswear trends.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop seasonal collections.
  • Knowledge of tech pack creation, CAD sketching, and design presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams (merchandising, technical, sourcing).
  • Creative mindset with a strong eye for color, fit, silhouette, and detail.
