ASSISTANT TRANSPORT MANAGER / EXECUTIVE
Rayin Food Products (Pvt) Ltd, a leading food manufacturer in Sri Lanka, operates three state-of-the-art production facilities with our head office based in Kurunegala. Our wide-ranging food product line is distributed across the country, including to major supermarket chains. As our operations expand, we are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Transport Manager / Executive to streamline and lead our transport operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and long-term transport schedules based on organizational needs.
- Oversee all transport-related resource allocation and vehicle availability.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation (registration, insurance, inspection reports, etc.) is accurately maintained and up-to-date.
- Monitor and manage vehicle logs, fuel stocks, and spare parts inventory.
- Maintain and prepare periodic reports for internal review and compliance.
- Coordinate and supervise drivers, helpers, suppliers, and other logistics partners.
- Drive cost-efficiency through effective budgeting and expense control.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing transport operations or within a recognized auto service institute.
- Diploma or certificate in transport/logistics services or automotive technology from a recognized institute.
- Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Sound knowledge of both mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
