The Advocata Institute is an independent policy think tank based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. We conduct research, provide commentary and hold events to promote sound policy ideas compatible with a free society in Sri Lanka.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting recruitment: posting jobs, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews
  • Assisting with onboarding and exit processes
  • Maintaining and organizing employee files accurately and confidentially
  • Assisting with payroll inputs, attendance, and leave records
  • Supporting HR and administrative tasks
  • Assisting with coordinating training sessions and employee events
  • Responding to HR-related queries from staff
  • Contributing to a positive and engaging workplace culture

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (internships count!)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
