FABRIC TECHNICIAN + SOURCING SPECIALIST- APPAREL - (JK COLOMBO)
We’re looking for a Fabric Technician + Sourcing Specialist who knows the ins and outs of activewear and performance fabrics, and can source them competitively—without compromising on quality. This is your chance to join a dynamic team where innovation, speed, and strategy drive results.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and develop high-performance fabrics for sportswear and activewear
- Maintain country-wise mill knowledge and identify options that offer benefits to customer (EX. GSP)
- Provide price-competitive and premium fabric solutions for each brief
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and lead times with global mills
- Approve lab dips, handlooms, and manage fabric testing and quality
- Support design and merchandising teams with fabric expertise
Ideal candidate should possess
- Diploma/Degree in Textile Technology or related field
- 3+ years in fabric sourcing or technical fabric roles
- Good understanding of activewear/performance fabrics and finishing
- Strong mill network and ability to replicate fabric qualities with GSP benefit countries
- Confident in technical testing, lab approvals, and quality checks
