Role Overview:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Student Counsellor, based in Colombo. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Student Counsellor to join our team. This role combines sales, academic advising, and student support - guiding potential students to the right educational programs while helping them make informed career decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Handle student inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Guide prospective students through program options, admissions requirements, and career outcomes.
- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to understand students' interests, goals, and backgrounds.
- Meet enrolment targets by converting inquiries into admissions.
- Follow up on leads, maintain CRM databases, and manage admissions pipelines.
- Coordinate with the academic and marketing teams to provide accurate and up-to-date program information.
- Assist with campus tours, open days, and student orientation sessions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in student counselling, admissions, or sales (preferably in education).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to build trust with students and parents.
- Fluency in English and Sinhala (Tamil is a plus).
- Comfortable working with CRM tools, MS Office, and digital communication platforms.
