Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for collaborating with relevant stakeholders to achieve customer profitability objectives. This role includes facilitating review meetings, implementing value-creation initiatives and long-range planning (LRP) projects and ensuring adherence to internal control systems for the SBU. Additionally, the position requires carrying out duties and responsibilities in compliance with the organization’s Health & Safety guidelines, instructions, and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for value creation and LRP projects (e.g., Overhead reduction projects)
- Ensure governance and adherence to internal control systems at the Centre
- Develop, manage and oversee budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making, including variance analysis, profitability analysis and financial modeling
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
- 3 to 4+ years of relevant experience with a strong knowledge of financial and management accounting concepts and business processes (for example, product development, supply chain, inventory etc)
- Proficiency in M3, PowerBI and MS Excel; experience in project management is an added advantage
