POSITION
- Architectural Draftsmen - Multiple positions
Our client, a leading Group of Companies in U.A.E. with 10,000+ work force and business sectors with 6 Global Automotive Brands, Energy, Industrial, Real Estates, Investments & Construction. They require Architectural Draftsmen-Engineering for their construction division urgently. Salary & other benefits will be negotiable during the MS Team interview. Accommodation, Medical and Transportation will be provided with a contract period of 2 years & (renewable).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering
- Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, superiors/managers, clients and other external contacts;
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, proficiency in Arabic language is an additional skill;
- Has very good knowledge and skills in various software technical programs such as CAD, Auto-CAD, and ADOBE etc.
- 5 years’ experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.
- Draw rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings and structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
- Lay out and plan interior room arrangements for commercial buildings, using computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
- Supervise, coordinate, and inspect the work of drafts persons, technicians on construction projects.
- Represent architectural engineer/construction manager on site and ensure builder compliance with design specifications and other technical documents under architectural engineer’s supervision.
- Check submissions of materials to be used and assign numbers to list of materials.
- Prepare drawings, details and instructions to be followed according to specifications and quantities required materials.
- Analyze and develop engineer’s design concept, calculating weights, volumes and stress factors.
- Create freehand drawings and lettering to accompany drawings.
- Prepare colored drawings of landscape and interior designs for presentation to client.
- Reproduce drawings on copy machines or trace copies of plans and drawings, using transparent paper or cloth, ink, pencil and standard drafting instruments.
- Prepare cost estimates, contracts, bidding documents and technical reports for specific projects under an architectural engineer’s supervision.
- Calculate heat loss and gain of buildings and structures to determine required equipment specifications following standard procedures.
- Build landscape, architectural and display models.
- Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
- Operate computer-aided drafting equipment or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records.
- Coordinate structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation in order to graphically represent building plans.
- Prepare and update shop drawings as per design drawing, RFIs and design changes.
