Job Description
Job Profile:
- Drive the pawning business in the respective region and ensure achievement of allocated business and portfolio targets.
- Participate, monitor, and support marketing activities, follow up on new business strategies in respective region.
- Coordinate with branch staff to ensure the smooth processing of pawn transactions and loan recoveries.
- Provide regular updates on business progress, customer feedback, and market trends to the management on a regular basis.
- Identify training needs and provide training within the agreed time frame to branch pawning officers.
Candidate Prerequisites:
- A full/partial qualification in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) is preferred.
- Should have a minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in Pawning in a reputed financial institution.
- Preference will be given to individuals who have prior experience in the financial sector and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the pawning business.
- Should have expertise in assessing and identifying pawning articles and a comprehensive understanding of overall pawning operations.
- Good understanding of the related industry standards and Central Bank guidelines.
- Fluency in the native language relevant to the assigned region is essential, along with a solid understanding of the region's geography.
- Strong communication skills and a talent for public relations along with team skills.
- Should have a positive attitude and the capacity to perform under pressure.
