Designation: Accountant/Accounts Assistant

We are leading company providing vehicle services to all kind of vehicle repairs in Biyagama. We are looking for an energetic candidate for the post of Accountant/Accounts Assistant.

  • Accountant – Salary Range 80,000 LKR – 120,000 LKR

Experience and qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in the accounting field.
  • Should possess intermediate qualification in ICASL, ACCA or CIMA.
  • The ability to work on ERP and sound knowledge in MS office packages is a pre-requisite.
  • Experience in handling VAT, PAYE, EPF, and ETF.
  • Should possess excellent writing and oral communication skills in both English and Sinhala.
  • Proficiency in QB Accounting software is an added advantage.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform multiple tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of annual financial statements and bank reconciliation.
  • Preparation of daily payment vouchers and receipts.
  • Managing payments and petty cash.
  • Maintaining sufficient funds by forecasting cash requirements and obligations.
  • Evaluates and make appropriate improvements to the internal accounting process.
  • Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting control software.
  • Supervision and Administration of Subordinates Duties.
  • Assistant Accountant – Salary Range 60,000 LKR – 80,000.00 LKR

Experience and qualifications

  • Age between 28-35 years of age.
  • Minimum 02 years of experience in Accounts Field.
  • Part qualification in CA/ACCA or full qualification in AAT.
  • Proficiency in Busy Accounting software is an added advantage.
  • Good command in both English and Sinhala.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in QB Accounting software is an added advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reporting packs.
  • Monitor accounts receivables, accounts payable & bank accounts on a regular basis.
  • Need to handle all IRD related matters.
  • Ownership of the Company inventory management.
  • Maintain a fixed assets register.
  • Attractive salary package will be offered depending on qualifications & experience.
  • Working Hours Monday to Saturday 8.00 AM - 5.00 PM (Saturday 8.00 AM -1.00 PM)
  • Applicants must reside in Biyagama, Kelaniya, Kiribathgoda, Kaduwela areas.
  • Leave Days: Sunday & Poya day.
