Asst. Manager Operations
(SHIPPING AGENCY)
In the process of expanding market and operations strategies, McLarens Logistics Ltd, is looking for a result-oriented, highly motivated and dynamic individual to strengthen the Operations Team.
The successful candidate should possess minimum 3-5 years’ experience in handling following areas of operation at all Ports of Sri Lanka;
- Experience in vessel operations including handling transshipment
- Knowledge of EDI submission (vessel registration, inward / outward clearance) & Sri Lanka Customs Asycuda System.
- Co-ordination with Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Sri Lanka Customs & related Government Authorities.
- Knowledge of Immigration / Emigration, Airport & Aviation, Sri Lanka Ports Authority and Sri Lanka Customs formalities of sign-on and sign-off of crew members.
- Clearance / delivery of ship spares & supply of provisions to vessels.
- Expertise in handling Cruise, Naval, Tanker Vessel inside Port or OPL.
The person we have in mind should be G. C. E. (A/L) qualified. If he carries a related professional qualification (ICS / CASA) it would be a definite advantage in our selection process. Strong interpersonal skills and a team player, computer literacy in handling Microsoft Office Packages and very good communication skills (especially in written and spoken English) are essential.
