RPG Tech Lead
JOB PROFILE
- Programming on AS/400 platform includes RPG/400, RPGLE, CLLE, SDA, RLU, RPG FREE CLLE, SQL/400, SQLRPGLE and DB2/400 is necessary.
- Experience in using and handling data queues.
- Ability to create technical documentation.
- Ability to work frequently improving agile practice and adhere to the organization agility.
- Team work abilities and willingness to work extended hours.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of technology & architectural concepts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Knowledge in the Banking and Financial domain will be an added advantage.
APPLICANT'S PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 10+ years of RPG development experience (ILE RPG, Free-Format RPG).
- Deep understanding of the IBM i (AS/400) operating system.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
- Strong knowledge of database concepts and DB2 for i.
- Experience with modern RPG development tools (e.g., Aldon).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with relevant technologies or frameworks (e.g., Web Services, APIs).
