Sarvodaya, the premier voluntary social development organization in Sri Lanka immediately requires dynamic, self-motivated and service-oriented person to fill the following vacancy. Head of Project Operation, as member of the Senior Project Management Team, He/she is responsible for providing strategic leadership for project implementation and operation, and developing tools, standards that enhance quality of the project deliverables.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise the project team and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects. And provide continuous technical guidance to the staffs and oversee the project implementation.
- Oversee operation of multiple, concurrent projects (short-term to long-term) from initiation through to completion in a competitive environment.
- Work with internal and external individual and organizations to develop detailed project plans, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality expected deliverables and services.
- Effectively communicate project updates, risks, and issues to all relevant parties in a timely manner and drives progressive experiences.
- Proactively identify potential roadblocks and recommend solutions to keep projects on track and serve as a subject matter expert on operations of project management processes and methodologies.
- Support to manage different project budget and help to allocate resources for assigned projects and ensure proper funding allocation for the project implementation.
- Provides guidance for establishing monitoring, evaluation and learning systems for each project and to help measure the outcomes. Conduct post-project reviews to document lessons learned and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Fulfilling the internal and external project reporting requirements and ensure to submit the required reporting and supporting documents on or before deadlines.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree or similar in areas related to Business Management, Development studies, Operational Management, Project Management, project management or any other relevant and related field.
- 5- 10 years of demonstrated work experience in program and project management related to different sectors, preferably focusing community development.
- Extended knowledge on Project Management Tools, Techniques and policies including monitoring and evaluation methodologies. Proven track record of successful project management from initiation to completion.
- Having experience in working with different interpersonal and cross-cultural skills projects including the ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, social and political issues.
- High competence in handling work environment conflicts and capacity on risk management while providing the strategic solutions with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skill.
- Demonstrated direct supervising experience of a larger project team including working in different capacity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and in one Sinhala/Tamil.
- Age – 30- 45 years
- Remuneration – 80,000 LKR (Negotiable)
