Factory Manager (Concord Manufacturing (Private) Limited, Thambuttegama)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily factory operations to ensure smooth workflow, optimal productivity, and on-time delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate production schedules based on buyer requirements and factory capacity.
  • Ensure strict compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and labor regulations.
  • Monitor KPIs related to efficiency, quality, cost control, and capacity utilization.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and HR.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles.
  • Coordinate with merchandising and planning teams for effective order execution.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in top condition through preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement on the production floor.
  • Maintain accurate reporting systems and provide regular updates to senior management.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • A Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Apparel Production, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of garment production processes (knit/woven), quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and factory operations in a structured and efficient manner.
  • Solid understanding of production planning, cost control, and operational KPIs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and production management tools.
  • Age between 35 and 50 years is preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Sinhala (spoken and written).
