Housekeeping Supervisor – Queen’s Hotel, Kandy
We are looking for an organized leader to oversee housekeeping staff, ensure that all guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards, conduct regular inspections, manage scheduling and training for team members, and collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring all tasks are completed according to hotel standards.
- Perform routine checks of rooms and public spaces, providing feedback for improvement where necessary.
- Regularly review cleaning procedures to ensure adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Develop training programs for new hires that cover cleaning techniques, equipment usage, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies; order replacements as needed while adhering to budget constraints.
- Handle complaints from guests regarding room cleanliness or service issues efficiently and professionally.
- Compile data on housekeeping operations such as room turnover rates, cleanliness scores, and staff productivity for management analysis.
- Create work schedules that maximize efficiency while ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned on time.
- Work closely with front desk staff, maintenance teams, and other departments to address guest needs effectively.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of housekeeping staff, providing constructive feedback aimed at enhancing service quality.
Candidates should possess:
- 2 - 3 Years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Additional certification in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Proficiency in using housekeeping equipment and cleaning products.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle guest requests and complaints with professionalism.
