ACCOUNTANT (OFFSHORE)

Eligibility: Candidates with Australian accounting experience only
Austral Group, a well-established Accounting & Business Consulting firm based in Australia, is seeking a full-time remote Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is ready to advance their career in a supportive and flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individual, company and trust tax return preparation and filing
- Preparation of financial statements and accounts
- BAS preparation and monthly account reconciliations
- Capital gains tax calculations and rental/investment property schedules
- Handling of FBT (particularly car-related) and Division 7A compliance
- Knowledge about Personal service income
- General bookkeeping
- Reviewing junior team members’ work
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Australian public practice accounting firm
- A strong knowledge of Australian tax system & Tax legislation
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and year-end reporting
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB or similar
- Attention to detail & problem solving skills required
- Diploma or degree in Accounting would be viewed favorably
- Excellent English communication skills (client and ATO interaction)
- Strong administrative and rapport-building skills
