The Job:
- The Executive – Fabric Inspection will oversee fabric inspection for dress production, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires expertise in fabric quality, garment construction, and dress-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fabric inspection within the apparel industry, focusing on dress production.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspection of fabrics for dress production to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to customer specifications.
- Identify and report any fabric defects, color variations, or inconsistencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fabric and materials that meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with the production and quality control teams to ensure seamless fabric inspection processes throughout the production cycle.
- Maintain accurate records of fabric inspections and report findings to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and fabric innovations relevant to dress manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of fabric inspection experience, particularly in dress production.
- In-depth knowledge of fabric types, properties, and their applications in dresses.
- Skilled in quality control and identifying fabric defects.
- Ability to interpret fabric specifications and customer requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
- Familiar with fabric testing standards and inspection techniques.
