Fashion Designer - Ladies Ware
Job Role
- Conceptualizing and design development with the use of Design Tools such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes.
- Fashion trends and colour forecasting.
- Planning and developing ranges.
- Working with others in the design team, such as buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet expectations.
- Liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the product suits the customer, market and price points.
- Understanding design from a technical perspective, producing patterns, tailor and technical specifications for designs.
- Coordinate with Merchandizing and buying team for sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments.
- Adapting existing designs for mass production.
Candidate Profile
- Degree or diploma in fashion designing
- Sound knowledge in graphic and embellishment creation using adobe graphic software
- More than 2 years’ experience in similar capacity as a designer
- Candidates with experience in a retail fashion company will be an added advantage
